Directions
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease an 8×8 or 9×9-inch baking dish.
- Whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
- In a separate bowl, beat butter and brown sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, followed by vanilla.
- Mix in the sour cream, then gradually add the dry ingredients until just combined. Fold in the diced apples.
- Spread batter evenly into the prepared pan.
- Make the crumble by combining flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Stir in melted butter until large crumbs form.
- Sprinkle generously over the cake.
- Bake for 40–45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs.
